ART GROUP
Art Group is a collective of emerging artists in the OKC metro area who have gathered to create a community centered around discussing and creating contemporary art. Our goal is to help artists develop their artwork, build the needed skills for continuing their practice, share resources to establish sustainable careers as artists, and educate the surrounding Oklahoma community on the importance of art. We believe art changes the world.
Art Group was co-founded in 2017 by Virginia Sitzes and Katelynn Noel Knick. What started as a mere conversation about the lack of community and/or opportunities for emerging artists in OKC, and has turned into a collective of over 50 artists around the metro.
We hold bi-monthly drink and draws, studio visits as well as other events like group exhibitions, dance parties, art markets, art supply swaps, art field trips and more!
